Research Associate on Monitoring and Control of Smart Home Environment
£24,402 - £31,840 per annum
Fixed term for 24 months
A Research Associate is required to work on a project entitled "Integration and Demonstration of Energy Efficient Dwelling NETwork (IndeedNET)" under the supervision of Prof. Shuang-Hua Yang. The project is funded by the Technology Strategy Board and will be carried out in collaboration with several industrial partners. The appointment is for twenty-four months, to start as soon as possible.
Applicants should have a strong interest and ability in wireless sensor/actuator development, monitoring and control, with a good first degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or other relevant subjects. Strong industrial experience in wireless sensor networks would be an advantage. It is essential that applicants be highly motivated and have the ability to work with people in a variety of disciplines, including industrial partners.
